Microsoft's new racing game - fresh off the review - is enjoying it, and not a little.
The first post-launch feedback is so positive that Phil Spencer himself, executive vice president of the gaming division of Microsoft - has taken a stand by saying that Forza Horizon 5 is the best launch ever for an Xbox Game Studios title .
This is testified by the over 4.5 million players who have already decided to get on board one of the racing cars included in the latest effort by Playground Games, through one of the supported platforms, namely Xbox consoles, PC and with the cloud (therefore also via mobile devices).
For reference: the previous Forza Horizon 4 recorded a 2 million players in the first week, while those connected simultaneously on launch day were 3 times fewer. The Microsoft executive can only thank both the users and the Playground Games developers who have objectively done a great job.
All positive, success achieved by a chapter that can be considered the apotheosis of the path traced by the previous FH3 and 4, but with a necessary note. Without wishing to diminish the intrinsic value of the title, one cannot help but consider that the decision to include it in the Game Pass almost simultaneously with the debut is also contributing to giving a boost to the diffusion of FH5 . FH5 is available for purchase from November 5th, but as of yesterday (October 9th) it can be downloaded at no additional cost (besides the subscription fee) even by subscribers to Microsoft's all-you-can-play service.
Perhaps not all the millions of players who have chosen it would have been willing to buy it at full price, but having the possibility to download it with the Game Pass is a not a small temptation, even just to try it and to test the capacity of the Xbox consoles last generation.
